People Have Followed Their Elected Piped Pipers Over the Abyss

Obama and the left-leaning Democratic Party has completed the lawful subjugation of individual freedom

Authored by:  William Robert Barber

Thousands of years ago man discovered fire and domesticated animals. The hunter-gatherer transformed its self by reaping what it planted; farming created a new wealth and stabilized communities. Governing took on many forms, most of these forms, emphasized the power of the governor over those governed. Draconian rules and regulations forced its effect on the individual; such governmental commands, drastically limited or outright eliminated personal even the freedom of institutions and businesses. Then in 1776, a Declaration of Independence bellowed out the grievances of heretofore English subjects; a long war ensued; by 1789, a Constitution, as well as, an insistence upon Bill of Rights was enacted – free people started their journey of self governance.

Now, eight to ten thousand years after the establishment of first city, American’s governments (federal, state, county, and city) has finally, after over two hundred years of resisting socialistic policies the ideology of the collective has prevailed over the value of the individual. Socialistic principles have captured the flag of existentialism. The governments of this nation utilizing its brethren of attorneys, accountants, politicians, courts, professional bureaucrats, appointed brokers, unions, and the hierarchy of government employed supervisory-managers have diluted the freedom of individuals in favor of government encroachment and control. These advocates of government-largeness have injected government oversight and interference in every material transaction and event; they have even subjected the ownership of personal property to its whim. The election of the Obama administration and the left-leaning Democratic Party has completed the lawful subjugation of individual freedom. Interestingly, the people, have for the most part, willingly, some even cheerfully, followed their elected piped pipers over the abyss.

The people have selected the Democratic Party’s political-hawker’s promise of physical security. The people now believe that the foreign policy agenda proclaimed by Obama administration will protect this nation from its enemies. The people have bought the assurance of personal financial surety; after all, 95% (of these people) will receive a check in the mail; for these recipients, the benevolence of the federal government’s noblesse oblige sense of righteousness has validated itself. The populous phenomenon, I label, as Liberal Progressive Socialism bought the election with the promises of bread, wine, the media’s complicity and the Obama rhetoric.

A liberal-progressive favors reform, especially political reforms that extend democracy, distribute wealth more evenly, and protect the personal freedom of the individual; additionally, the word liberal could be defined as a person or entity that was broad-minded, forbearing, and is cognizant, as well as, possessing an in depth understanding of differing prospective and behavioral norms. Doesn’t sound all so bad; the contrary of such a definition must be no good even close to evil.

Of course, I the consummate conservative cannot trust words; we all heard the words of the Republican Party when they were in power; behavior is the barometer of truthfulness. Reform for its own sake is nothing less than contrarianism. All political parties are designed around the maintenance and or attainment of power. Therefore, the exactness of why term limits and transparency are not an inherent or intrinsic course of action by those who govern. Distribution of wealth is always scary but if distribution merits inclusion within policy I suggest it should start by taking in an excess of $500,000 all the Democratic Party’s elected millionaire representatives and spreading it about those poor people they boast affiliation and fraternity. Obama has suggested as much…of course he was talking about our money not his or his confederates.

Market Risk Will Rise & Market Values Will Abate

For every dollar invested in a stimulus package, there should be an equal dollar spent in dismantling Big Government!

Authored by:  William Robert Barber

If the government prints more money and invests, lends, or gives away such cash by adhering to the rules of the most recent precedent; my prediction is that market risk will rise and market values will abate. So far, with few exceptions TARP has vested its funds via the sub-treasury department of willy-nilly financial interlopers; this willy-nilly department does not require audit-accountability or meaningful oversight. Its singular mandate is focused on the vesting and damn the torpedoes.

The real-world financial marketplace is not concerned if the plan implemented is derived from a Liberal or Conservative it is only concerned with the correctness of the plan. The marketplace is a result-orientated facility. It has no feelings left or right; really does not care if the implementer is black, white, purple, tall, fat, ugly or beautiful; the market only requires the correct solution to the problem.

Conversely, elected representatives are influenced by sentimental regards, opinions, precedence, staying in power, political consequences, gaining more power, subject to the sway of egotistical nonsense and the constant collateral possibility of corruptive behavior.

Although there has been since the founding of our republic a progressive Congressionally inspired movement to curtail the freedom of private enterprise in favor of enlarging the size of government, all undertaken under the guise of ‘fair’ legal renderings or ‘necessary’ regulations, nothing, however has occurred compared to the largeness of this particular taxpayer funded ‘stimuli’.

Naturally, I have a solution; for every dollar expended in the name of a stimulus package there should be a dollar deducted from the pre-determined dismantling of federal government departments, services, and utilities. The objective is to lower the cost of governing in proportion to the funds expended in the stimulus incentive. I believe that there will be an inherent organic balance to the goal of enhancing the overall economy, as well as, notifying the world of our intent to significantly decrease the cost of governing.

Surely, the Obama administration will notice this solution of mine and implement immediately…

What Will Come Out of the Obama Presidency – Change?

Opinions are Nothing BUT Opinions and Everyone Has One

Over the holiday I was engaged with a friend of a friend’s friends wherein the initial subjects of sports, sex, and business was discarded for a robust discussion about the general state of the union.  As we all most probably would acknowledge such a topic discussed in an ad hoc social form has a compelling potential to erode one’s predilection that Homo sapiens are, when compared, with the other members of the animal kingdom, the superior of intellect. These fellows had obvious difficulty with clarity of subject, staying on subject and the common social grace of a shark feeding frenzy.Read More »

The Game of Speculating in the Marketplace

The Natural Course is Up and Down

Authored by:  William Robert Barber

The market; be it equities, commodities, debt instruments, options, or any other tradable tangible or intangible is founded on one premise: A willing buyer matched with a willing seller, commission, tax, and fee obligations aside, the parties have entered a transaction that both believe is fair, equitable, or not; but, clearly to their benefit.

Often the catalyst that prompts market action (a beneficial transaction) is a speculator. This person or entity has discovered a potential positive market possibility and or even a strong probability either in the present or future and has decided to risk capital to gain a position between the willing buyer and seller; or to collaterally gain by participation in the before or aftermath of the transaction. Therefore, by means permissible under the law, this speculator enables a market placed opportunity; this market-action enabling is inherently an at risk of capital endeavor.Read More »

Bailing Out the Big Three Has No Sensibility

The Answer For The Auto Industry Is Bankruptcy.

Authored by:  William Robert Barber

Bailing out GM, Ford, and Chrysler how absurd and contrary to the practice of business sensibility! What would normally constitute factionists contesters: The ‘Big Three’ (auto manufactures and world-wide distributors) have found a symbiotic simpatico with its union’s management-their rank and file, the creditor vendors, auto-industry bond/shareholders, and the governing liberal democrats. Such an interesting confederation of transactional counter-parties; what could possibly be the reasoning that binds them?Read More »

Will Obama Actually Give Money to the Poor?

Thank You Obama – At Least for the Market Stimulus in Poster Sales!

Authored by William Robert Barber

The Game Is Afoot: The Liberals have conjured together their answer-to-the-crises-team soon the differing between their agenda and the Republican agenda will become evident. My expectation is that the Obama select will follow the razor’s edge between appeasing their union faction’s interest, the lobbying efforts of the entrenched die-hard socialist-liberal idealist, and finding where possible a compromise with their blue-dog representatives/republican moderates.

I am eager to see the contrast (if any) between the politically inspired campaign pledges and the actual’s submitted for congressional approval. Will the Democrats actually give money to those peoples described by Obama as poor or poorer? Or will Obama instead give a tax break to the rich and corporate because the financial crises persuade his advisors to rethink their social engineering in favor of growing the economy?

I do not think that Obama can lead from the leftist side of political idealism but then I thought that Hillary would clean his clock in the primaries. A harbinger I am not.

Notice the price of gasoline! What a price break for the average Joe. Shall we credit President Bush? After all he is still in office; well, I guess the Democrats NOW believe the price drop had to do with market conditions not because Bush and Cheney are oilmen.

I do what to thank Obama for the market stimulus only he is responsible for: Obama posters and paraphernalia; thousands upon thousands of such is being purchased on the Internet. Particularly amazing about that is that according to Obama and the Democrats no one has any money.

Happy Turkey to one and all…

Unintended Consequences!!!

The Sam Adams Alliance

Here’s a revelation: A story headlined, “Bailout funds being spent in ways Congress never foresaw.”

What? Our omniscient congressmen failed to forecast the fate of their latest multifarious munificence?

You know, whenever I myself spend hundreds of billions on random questionable socialistic takeovers of the economy, I always demand an itemized account of exactly what I will get in return. Always.Read More »

Myths, Illusions, Distractions, and Taxes

Elected Officials Perpetuating a Lie Authored by:  William Robert Barber We Americans are dependant, interdependent, and besieged by governments’ federal, state, and local. There is no escape from this absolute truth. The bindings that enable this government-to-citizen relationship are complicated and intensely abstract. Lawyers, accountants, elected politicians, judges, (former attorneys) and the great unelected/appointed cadre of paper creator bureaucrats have established a specific language and procedure expertly designed to disable the simple and transparent.Read More »
